About Caroline

For most of my life, I feel like I’ve locked myself up for fear of standing out.

I’m a former missionary kid that grew up in Japan. I stood out no matter how hard I tried not to. Now, almost into my late 20s, I find that I’m finally discovering who I am. And much to my surprise, it seems that I’m not the timid girl that I’ve presumed myself to be all these years.

So this blog marks a journey; I’m truly excited about all the thoughts, musings, passions, dreams, and convictions that are waiting to pour forth from here on out. And in sharing my journey from being a passive, awkward perfectionist to a confident nerd being comfortable in my skin – continually discovering who I am in the light of God’s love for me – I hope that you and I are able to share a common ground of sorts.
